Trains, Planes and Cd’ing: Some Hobby comparisons

All of my HO train stuff is in boxes.
All of my aeroplane kits are in boxes.
All of my girl stuff is in boxes.

I haven’t played with ‘toy’ trains in some time.
I haven’t built an aircraft model in some time.
I haven’t dressed in some time.

One can feel guilty about spending money on new scale rolling stock even though there is limited space on your layout.
One can feel guilty about spending money on a new kit even though you still have kits that haven’t yet started.
One can feel guilty about spending money on girl clothes knowing you wouldn’t get to wear them very often.

When one constructs a model railroad layout, you get down at eye level and imagine you are there, but I’m not HO scale, never will be.
When one builds an 1/72 F14, you could imagine flying such a plane, but I’m not an F14 pilot, never will be.
When one crossdresses, you could imagine what it is like to be a woman, but I am not female, never will be.

I want to be as accurate as possible, create the illusion/image of the real thing.
I want to be as accurate as possible, create the illusion/image of the real thing.

It’s usually done alone, behind closed doors.
It’s usually done alone, behind closed doors.
It’s usually done alone, behind closed doors.

If they don’t do it, most people don’t understand.
If they don’t do it, most people don’t understand.
If they don’t do it, most people don’t understand.

Wow, look at that model I created.
Wow, look at that model I created.
Wow, look at THAT model I created.

Accepted by society.
Accepted by society.
Frowned upon by society.

Ah, so close.
